VA SLICER
Example of VA_SLICER display
structural T1-weighted MRI merged with functional FDG PET scan
- What it does:
The VA_SLICER package is an adaptation of the SLICER program distributed with IDL3.1. It has been modified by researchers in the Functional Neuroimaging Group at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center for use in examining co-registered structural and functional brain volumes.
- Features: (also see image)
-
- Navigation controls have been adapted to facilitate exploration in axial, sagittal, coronal and oblique planes.
- Slider controls for navigation allow fine control and easy replication of slices.
- Slice planes can present either structural information or merged functional and structural information.
- An image of the current rendering and slice can be saved to a GIF file or copied to a small IDL window.
- Out-of-slice strutures are discarded when slicing.
- Caveats:
-
- The package currently runs under IDL 3.6x, 4.0.1 and 5.0.
- The package has only been tested on UNIX platforms (sun4_sunos4,sun4_sunos5, alpha_OSF, hp9000s700_hpux).
